Tuesday was the final day to the great Diamond Jubilee celebrations here in London. The Jubilee celebrated Queen Elizabeth's 60th year as monarch. We decided to brave the crowds and found a place on the processional route. Mass hordes of people like we have never seen came out of the woodwork and flooded the streets of London, standing and waiting for hours for a small glimpse of the Queen. Sure enough, we saw the Queen and the rest of the royal family TWICE (strategic parade scouting:)). We saw Will, Kate, Harry, Elizabeth, Charles, and oh yeah, Camilla. They were accompanied by formal bands, royal guard in full regalia, cannon fire, and a military jet flyover. Just in case anyone was wondering, there WERE snipers on the rooftops, and I'm grateful they were, because the royal family came through the second time in elegant open-aired carriages. I'm amazed they could get away with that in today's scary world.

The Queen, Camilla and Charles (Charles is the tophat behind the lantern). Yes, that is a news camera behind them.
Guess who? . . .
The first time we saw the Queen in the motorcade.
Actual view - check out the cellphone madness.
Matthew was zonked out from all of the excitement.
